There she goes my garden of eve walking like a storm up the lane kicking up the dust and the leaves she won’t be coming back this way said she’s got her someone to be said I’m driving her to the grave now she’s gone it’s hard to believe we won’t be starting up again she threw all the letters of love i wrote her on the flames that ain't no way i've known hot to get along i let it go It’s too much too hard to work it out we built the walls too high
it was almost impossible to breathe i had to leave it all behind well i played along as long as could be but when i thought of turning the page she'd beg me from down on her knees but i had to put a lid on it when she’d call me names and insult me I’d let her rant and rave and that ain’t no way I’ve known how to get along I let it go well every now and then when i see her at a party or with some friends i find it really hard to believe that once upon a time we were wed now i'm not blaming all our fighting on her per-se but that ain't no way i've known how to get along i let it go It’s too much too hard to work it out we'd built the walls too high she always could talk too loud and know that I’m no good under fire-i keep on walking and don't look back
